The Hatter Lab

The Sir Maurice and Lady Irene Hatter Laboratory for Coastal and Harbour Archaeology was started by Professor Michal Artzy of the The Leon Recanati Institute for Maritime Studies as a place to process the many finds of her Tel Nami expedition. It was generously sponsored by Sir Maurice and Lady Irene Hatter who have been friends to the University of Haifa and assisted many underprivileged students to study and achieve their dreams.
